Concert Setlist

That last playlist had everything all mixed together. This one came about tonight, when we finally picked the songs out and arranged them in order.

Judeo-Sufi Repertoire

On the surface, many of these tunes seem to have very little to do with each other. But once we peer in a bit deeper, we shall get a taste of the Awesome Sauce that unites them.

Six mind blowing containers of one kind of Sauce

So this is the first version I found, which is the one I based my piano version on. Now that I listen to it again after a couple weeks, I am struck by its beauty once more.

Ok this one... instrumental, and absolutely breathtaking! Awesome instrumentation!

And this one, nice flute, good waltz timing. Very short, too:

Ok, so now we have one with a completely different melody, which is also a complete knockout! Bagpipes? I have tears in my eyes!

Oh yes this one! Cello! This has the weaving melodies that I want to capture with two voices, or instrument and voice. Awesome bow bouncing.

They just keep going here! This one is so dramatic... and then the ending! What is with this song? See what I mean!

Lucky you, that's all for now.
It's all in the sauce,
Love.

Yo M'enamori D'un Aire

When it comes to music, there are many different forms of Awesome Sauce. Some instruments are just awesome to listen to. There are some substantially saucy styles out there, too. If I had a dream audio setup, that would be the sauce. Talent, it could be argued, may be the tastiest sauce of all...

Our subject for this first entry, however, is a curiously Awesome song I have found. It is actually made of 100% Organic Fair Trade Raw Cold-Pressed Pure Awesome Sauce. A romantic Ladino Folk song called "Yo M'enamori D'un Aire" ("I fell in love with a breeze").

Lyrics:

Yo menamori dun aire,
dun aire duna mujer;
Duna mujer muy hermoza,
linda de mi corazon.

Yo menamori de noche,
el lunar ya mengano,
Si esto era de dia,
yo no atava amor.

Si otra vez menamoro,
sea de dia con sol.

Translation:

I fell in love with a breeze,
a breeze of a woman;
a woman so pretty,
dearer to me than my heart.

I fell in love during night,
the moon deceived me
If it were day,
I would not have found love.

If I fall in love ever again,
I'll do it in daylight.

Allow me to play it for you on the piano (I messed up some of the words, but I don't care because I did like 20 thousand takes and finally got one that was otherwise acceptable, my voice was already shot and I wasn't gonna do it again):

Nice song, eh? Well whoopty doo, there's a lot of nice songs, what makes this one so special?

I can feel the Sauce oozing through the pores...

Never, ever, have I watched so many mind blowing performances of the same song, and each one being so unique. The mediocre ones(such as my own) still retaining a striking quality, and even the terribly played ones are worth listening to!

Go ahead, search for a few, watch them, post comments here, and we'll meet back up in the next entry. Then, I'll take you for a tour of some of my favorites. I think we'll all come to agree, that what we have before us is nothing other than Pure Awesome Sauce.

Love and Blessings,
Raphael Jacob Towers
